Webinar Competition in Digital Markets

Do you want to be updated on the current hot topics in the field of competition law? On 12 March 2021, the Law and Economics Society organises a webinar revolving around the current challenges related to digital markets. To start us off, head of the OECD Competition Division Antonio Capobianco will guide us through the OECD’s perspectives on competition in digital markets. Dr Thibault Schrepel (Assistant Professor at Utrecht University) will explain to us why the platform economy does not exist. Finally, Gönenç Gürkaynak (Faculty Member at Bilkent University / Partner at ELIG Gürkaynak Attorneys-at-Law) will explore the challenges related to the topics of self-preferencing and the gatekeeper role in antitrust law.
